We're inviting you to clean out your ‘robe to clean up the globe'. BlockTexx is collaborating with Councils around the nation via a series of innovative linen collections addressing our growing textile waste problem. We’ll take your old towels and pillowcases too!
How it works
On selected dates you’ll be able to drop off separated and bagged clean linen and clothes for free to do your bit to recycle textiles and keep them out of landfill.
Collect your old, worn-out sheets, towels, pillowcases, quilt covers and linen that you can no longer use. While you’re at it, gather up any unwanted clothing that is in good condition. Please keep your surplus shoes at home! We can’t accept these.
Make sure all your items are clean and then sort them into separate bags for clothing and linen.
Visit chosen location on date & time to do your bit to save the planet by keeping textile waste out of landfill.
All linen donations will be collected by BlockTexx to be converted into valuable, high-grade materials that can be used by Australian manufacturers to create new products such as hydro-mulch, fertiliser, shopping baskets and geosynthetic fabrics.
Any clothing donations will be donated to St Vincent de Paul’s to support those in need.
